October 11: Breena Shusterman, DJ Twitchin Skratch and a new Sunday flow
Breena leads the yoga and dance, DJ Richkid Rich spins the yoga live, Twitchin Skratch plays the main set, and the afternoon ends with tag-team open decks. Meet the people making it happen.
Yoga Electronica is one continuous afternoon: a guided yoga practice to a live DJ that opens into a sober dance floor. On Sunday, October 11, it comes back to Q Studios at 2328 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 in Logan Square with a new flow and a crew worth knowing. Tickets are $25.
It takes a lot of people to hold a room like this. Every one of them has their own work out in the world, so follow them, listen to them and come dance with them. The more we lift each other up, the stronger Chicago's web of music and movement gets.
The new Sunday flow
- 2:30 PMDoors open: a 30-minute window to arrive and settle in
- 2:50 PMWelcome meditation: sit and rest before class
- 3:00 PMYoga with Breena, DJ Richkid Rich live on the decks
- 3:50 PMMain dance set with DJ Twitchin Skratch
- 5:20 PMClosing savasana and circle
- 5:30 PMTag-team open decks: bring music on a USB drive and play 3 tracks (about 15 minutes)
Open decks run while the crew packs up, so any DJ with a ticket can take a turn. Want to play a longer set? Apply to guest DJ.
